Hello Free Money! Get 10% back on Cash Reloads at GoCashCards
Don’t you love it when you get an opportunity to make a few bucks for no (or very little) hassle? Here is one such opportunity.
UAE Exchange – one of the largest exchange houses in UAE – has a multi-currency prepaid card called GoCashCard. It is running a promotion where you get 10% cashback for recharges over AED 1,000.
I am not usually a fan of multi-currency card as a product. When I travel, I withdraw a small amount of cash from a bank and use my credit cards (which has zero foreign exchange charges) as much as I can. It saves me the hassle converting currency repeatedly. However, this offer seems too good to resist.
Reload GoCashCard and Get 10% Cashback
This is how you can get the cashback.
Step 1 – Get a GoCashCard
Ignore if you already have this product and move to Step 2. Otherwise, go to a UAE Exchange branch (there are several of them) and get one. There are a few variants of this card as per the website. The standard one will cost AED 50 + VAT. Further, you need to load at least AED 100 to your card.
Once you buy the card, you can activate it by calling gocash Card Service Centre (+971 2 6355625), or from the website by clicking the ‘Account Login‘ link. The card gets activated and will be ready for use within two hours.
Step 2 – Install the GoCash Mobile App and Load Funds
The app is available on the AppStore and Android. You need to link your card on the app and load funds. Note that you get 10% cashback only on the funds loaded through the mobile app.
Funds can be added through one of these banks.
There are some important terms and conditions
- You need to load the card before July 31, 2019
- Cashback will be credited on or before August 5, 2019
- Cashback will be given on every transaction where the load amount AED 1000 equivalent in any currency.
- For full terms visit https://www.gocashcards.com/cashback-offer-tnc
- Maximum amount that can be loaded in a month is AED 25,000
Step 3 – Use GoCashCard
If you have travel plans, you can convert the funds to your desired currency. Alternately, you could keep funds in AED as well. In either cases, you can use the card as a debit card with no additional charges.
If you wish to withdraw funds through an ATM, there are two things to consider
- There is a maximum daily withdrawal limit of $1,000 (or equivalent in other currency)
- Every cash withdrawal is charged $3 (or equivalent in other currency)
You can withdraw funds in AED as well.
Final Thoughts
Needless to say, UAE Exchange is spending a lot of money in acquiring new customers and making them use their products. Not too long ago, UAE Exchange was giving cashback on remittances. Its rates are already competitive, and you could get as high as 6% cashback.
This is another such opportunity. But hurry, the offer lasts only till July 31, 2019.
A big thank you to our readers Wasim and Harshal for highlighting this offer.
