Spring Break from Middle-East – Best Places & Best Deals
Depending on where you live in the Middle-East, it will start to get warm. Very soon. If you have kids, at least there is some solace. The 2-week spring vacation is upon you.
There is a reason why Spring is the season of magic! And to see nature in its full glory.
I have compiled some great travel destinations (also for your wallet) from the Middle-East. Do let me know what you think.
Netherlands
The Amsterdam tulips festival starts from April 1, 2019. The ‘must-see once’ Keukenhof Flower Parade is scheduled on April 13, 2019.
Do you still need convincing? Ok some pictures (you can’t avoid the crowd though)
Tip: Do not forget to visit Keukenhof Garden. It is a short drive from AMS airport

This is a direct flight, onwards it has a technical stop at BOJ airport

Japan
I am no expert on History, but I would like to believe “cherry blossom tourism” originated from the land of the rising sun. Cherry blossom festival is expected to hit a little early this year. So, plan your trip asap and go early. This website gives you all the information you need. And, if I may add, in excruciating details!
And the pictures, you have to see it to believe it.

Dubai to Tokyo (return) via China Southern in Economy from $655 (link)
Cairo to Tokyo (return) via Egypt Air (non-stop) in Economy from $749 (link)
Washington DC
Another great place to see cherry blossoms. The dates for full bloom varies a lot. I find CherryBlossomWatch a great place to see how the season is unfolding. The average peak bloom date, which is when 70% of the flowers of the cherry blossom are open, is April 4.
This coincides with the school vacation dates here. There is something surreal about cherry blossoms in full bloom with the Capitol in the background!

Bahrain to Washington DC (return) via Saudia in Economy from $616 (link)
Amman to Washington DC (return) via Saudia in Economy from $694 (link)
Scandinavia
This is not your standard ‘lets see some flowers’ spring break. However, it is equally pretty. The snow would have melted and you will see waterfalls everywhere. Be careful of the weather though, it can be highly unpredictable. If you are lucky (or unlucky) you might see snow, sunshine, dark clouds and rain in a one-week trip.
But, I guarantee it will be fun. And more so when I tell you of this incredible deal.

Dubai to Oslo/ Stockholm / Copenhagen (one-way) via Norwegian (direct) from $231 (link)
Bulgaria
A highly underrated gem. There is nothing not to like about Bulgaria in Spring (okay the weather can be erratic).
Moderate temperatures? Check.
Flowers? Check.
Hot springs? Check.
European vibe? Check.
A non-stop flight from Dubai? Double Check.
While the Rose Festival is usually in May/June, flowers would have started to bloom in the Rose Valley in April.

Dubai to Sofia (return) via Wizz Air (direct) from $200 (link)
