Great flight deals in April out of the Middle-East

It is getting warmer in the Middle-East. Spring is officially over in UAE.

However, it is a great time to travel outside. Schools will be closed for spring break and spring has only started in the at higher latitudes. Further, Easter is upon us.

In my previous post, I had covered various spring destinations and deals out of Middle East.

From the tulip festival in Amsterdam to the cherry blossoms in Japan and parts of USA, there is a lot to see. Sadly, the flight fares have skyrocketed. Go to the previous post and click on the Google flight links. The fares have almost doubled!

Therefore, in this post, I will look at some great flight deals to suit your budget.

Dubai to Munich

Candor is a German leisure airline. It does not have regular services to Dubai.

From April 20 to April 27, Candor is flying non-stop return flights from Dubai (DWC airport) to Munich (link). The fares are incredible at $354. This is 50% lower than other airlines.

Another great thing about this fare. It is heavily skewed towards base fare and taxes are minimal. So if you have ADCB Travelers Credit Card, you can get approximately 15% off.

Dubai to Sofia

Bulgaria is a highly underrated gem easily accessible from Dubai.

flydubai still has great rates during the spring break starting $300 (link)

If you can travel later in April, WizzAir fares start from $180 (link)

Sharjah / Kuwait / Jeddah / Bahrain to Amsterdam / London / Geneva

Sharjah airport is a great alternative for both Dubai and Sharjah residents. Pegasus has some good deals from Sharjah to Amsterdam and London (link). Fares start from $300. Kuwait, Bahrain, Jeddah have similar deals. These are one-stop flights with transit at Istanbul.

Amman to Scandinavia

This is not your standard ‘lets see some flowers’ spring break. However, it is equally pretty. The snow would have melted and you will see waterfalls everywhere. Be careful of the weather though, it can be highly unpredictable. If you are lucky (or unlucky) you might see snow, sunshine, dark clouds and rain in a one-week trip.

You could fly from Amman to Copenhagen and back (non-stop) for as low as $234 (link).

Miles Redemption Opportunity

Booking for tickets using miles can fetch you great value. Presently, two awesome promotions are going on

Miles&Smiles – the frequent flyer program of Turkish Airlines – is celebrating its 30th anniversary. It is offering 30% discount on redemption and upgrade tickets. The cities change every month. Sharjah is one of the chosen cities in April.

You can read more about this here.

Second, Gulf Air is offering 50% off on redemption. The booking dates are March 14, 2019 to April 30, 2019. Travel dates need to be between April 1, 2019 to May 31, 2019.

This offer is detailed in this post.

  1. Thanks for sharing this ! DXB is an excellent place to connect through the middle east. They’ve made that airport so connection and stop-over friendly. There’s great food, shopping (for all budgets-not only luxury) and fun activities for kids (I saw a trampoline park in the airport!). Also, the airport is so quick to get through. Customs was a breeze! DBX is only 15 minutes from downtown Dubai, so you can easily check out some attractions if you have a few hours. Here’s some ideas for your Dubai stopover 🙂
