Saudi Arabia Tourist Visa – All You Need To Know

As announced earlier, Saudi Arabia has launched an e-Visa for tourist purposes. This significantly opens up the thirteenth largest country in the world to tourists. As of now, passport holders from 49 countries are eligible for the visa.

Which Countries Are Eligible?

As mentioned earlier, citizens from 49 countries are eligible to apply for the e-visa. These countries are (in alphabetical order):

  22. Italy

Saudi Arabia is considering extending the visa scheme to cover other countries.

How to Apply?

You need to visit the website visitsaudi.com.

After filling in your details and paying the visa fee, the visa should be delivered to you shortly.

Visa Fee and Duration

The tourist visa is valid for 1 year and allows multiple entry and exits. You could stay for up to 90 days.

The application fee is 440 Saudi Riyals ($117).

Are There Any Restrictions?

The access to the holy sites of Mecca and Medina are restricted. Also, if you are planning to visit, please read about the local culture and sensibilities.
